I just started month seven of the race… that doesn’t even feel like it should be possible. Wasn’t it last week we were at training camp getting ready to leave for Chicago?
Now I’m in Costa Rica, with three more weeks left before we head to Columbia!
God has really been working in my life during these months….
One night He spoke over me in Guatemala and I wrote down what He was telling me. Then in Costa Rica He spoke over me again.. the message was the same. Freedom and healing.
That is so much of what this journey has been for me, healing and freedom. He’s been teaching me a lot through my past experiences in life. He gives beauty for ashes.
So here it is…
I wrote a song:
|thanks to my good friend Janice who helped my vision come to life and my thoughts make sense. Thank you to my squad who showed me a lot of love the first night we sang it together. It is one of my favorite memories!|
Here I Go
My heart longs for freedom
My flesh clings to what I’ve known
My chains feel too comfortable
What you have for me so much better
So much better
So here I go
Here I go
I’m not going back the bondage
I won’t look at it with longing
The chains no longer hold me
So here I go
Here I go
You given what was taken
You restore what was stolen
You’ve delivered me from bondage
So here I go
Here I go
Walking in your freedom
You want it all for me
No more comfort in my misery
You have it all for me
So here I go
Here I go
Chains are what I’ve known
But freedom is life unknown
So here I go
Learning to trust you
Walking with you
Receiving your love

I am moved to tears, Paiton, and I rejoice in your freedom & healing.
Your song has more importance than you can imagine. It’s your beautiful testimony, and it will lead others into freedom & healing as well.
I love you and I’m so proud of you.
Paiton, I love seeing you grow with the lord! Keep it up! God is blessing you! ???
I’m incredibly proud of you and so thankful to have you as my sister and incredible friend. The words you speak are hope for those around you…. since training camp it’s what Holy Spirit made so known to me, and to see it so evidently with how you bring us closer to Jesus is literally the most rewarding thing to see. I love you Paiton! Freedom is yours.
Ella asked how you were doing! Love this update and thank you for sharing your song! Praying for you, friend!!!
